Safer Summer Drinking

Safer Summer Drinking

Keep Safe This Summer

MIND THE SUN

Drinking alcohol makes you more susceptible to sunburn? Try and use plenty of sun cream and keep your alcohol use within the safer guidelines (14 Units per week spread over 3-4 days)

HYDRATE

Drinking too much alcohol can dehydrate you, so try to switch to water or a soft drink in between alcoholic drinks. This will also help reduce your risk of having alcohol related accidents! It’s important to stay hydrated during hot weather.

WATCH THE CALORIES

Still hoping to get away this summer? Looking to lose weight for the beach? Did you know that some alcoholic drinks contain hundreds of calories? Cutting down how much you drink could help you to reach a healthier weight.

WATCH YOUR MEASURES

With pubs shut during lockdown, lots of people built themselves garden bars. If you prefer your garden bar in summer, that’s great! But try to pour pub measures rather than house measures!
