GCA offer individual, free and confidential counselling for people experiencing alcohol-related difficulties and those affected by someone else’s alcohol issue. The service is provided by trained staff and volunteers over five days and three evenings a week and Saturday morning. You can access the service by contacting GCA directly or by being referred by another source such as a GP or CAT Team. Our counsellors are available in Glasgow City Centre, East End, Yoker, Drumchapel and East Dunbartonshire.
What is Counselling?
One-to-one counselling provides a confidential space for you to talk things over.
How long will counselling last?
The number of counselling sessions needed depends on the individual.
Will anyone find out about what I talk about?
GCA’s counselling service is confidential so the content of your sessions remain between you and your counsellor unless there are concerns about your safety or someone else’s.
