“it gives me a great deal of personal satisfaction it meets my need to be useful it allows me to express my ʻphilosophy of lifeʼ in a practical way it brings me into contact with a great bunch of people…
It has been interesting to see from a volunteer perspective how GCA has gone about that essential and challenging process of change over the years and how it goes about supporting, training and motivating its volunteers – and especially how it forms – and regards its relationship with them and I think that for me it is the quality of that relationship that is at the heart of what I get out of volunteering in this organisation.
Volunteering then – at GCA – is a privilege – and I hope I can speak for my volunteer colleagues in saying this it gives me a great deal of personal satisfaction it meets my need to be useful it allows me to express my ʻphilosophy of lifeʼ in a practical way it brings me into contact with a great bunch of people colleagues and service users and as well as all that – I enjoy it
