Drinking and Driving/Drink Drive Limits
Legislation has been in place in Scotland that reduces the amount of alcohol you can have in your blood, breath or urine whilst still legally being able to drive. This means it has become virtually impossible to judge how much you can drink before getting behind the wheel. So the best advice is if you are driving then don’t drink alcohol at all.
Just one alcoholic drink before driving can make you THREE times more likely to be involved in a fatal car crash.
And around one in ten deaths on Scottish roads involve a driver over the legal limit.
